Teacher Training
I'm an educator to my core. Teaching teachers is an aspect of my work that inspires and takes me around the world. NYC, Arkansas, Iceland, Bosnia, Serbia, Istanbul and the list is growing! My approach is learner-centered, and dynamic--informed by my Master of Arts in Applied Theatre and extensive background in arts-in-education pedagogy. I meet you where you are. We celebrate what you already bring to the table. Then we create space to cultivate skills and intuition to take you further. Some of my teacher training options are listed below, but I'm always developing more workshops for educators and the workplace. Please reach out to request a training or to propose a collaboration.
A 6-day (30 hour) intensive, this course is the first step for those who want to become certified GYROKINESIS teachers. I am able to travel to conduct this course for 5+ participants. Reach out to schedule. We can also split the 6 days into two long weekends.
6-day (30 hour) intensive, this course is the first step for those pursuing full GYROTONIC certification. I am able to travel to conduct this course with a 5 person minimum. (3 people max per tower. If you only have one tower or fewer people, just reach out to discuss options). 6 days consecutive or split into two long weekends.
Bodies hold trauma. As body workers we are often there when old wounds resurface. These workshops give movement teachers a tool kit for self-care and self-regulation to hold space and prevent burn out. They also provide tools for honoring and addressing trauma in the moment-- strategies for how to stay within our scope of practice and how and when to refer out.
